Captain Lawrence Brewing Company is an award-winning independent family-run craft brewery located in Elmsford, New York. We are known for our IPAs, both foggy and non-foggy, as well as a wide variety of other beer styles. We have been in business for over 16 years and are looking for a Sales Representative to be the face of our brand in an assigned geographic area that will primarily cover Brooklyn. The primary focus of this position is to manage Captain Lawrence sales in Brooklyn for one of the largest wholesalers in the country.

The candidate must:
Living in Brooklyn

Enjoy Proactive Craft Beer Selling
Be an excellent communicator
Be a problem solver
Represent CLBC in retail as the brewery’s first point of contact
Remain positive and professional when working with wholesalers, accounts and with all Captain Lawrence employees
Ability to work independently with little supervision while meeting sales targets and tasks; including increased volume and revenue in the territory
Be able to call on existing on and offsite accounts, open new accounts and solicit orders from previous accounts
Be able to establish and strengthen productive and mutually beneficial relationships with all levels of wholesale and key account partners
Be comfortable planning and conducting on- and off-site sampling in stores, bars and restaurants
Work on market team orders if needed
Ability to negotiate and overcome customer objections
Be able to keep accurate records of account visits and investments using a simple mobile app
have a computer
Be comfortable working or learning basic skills with Microsoft Excel, VIP, simple mobile apps
Be able to stay within the assigned budget
Be able to monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to Captain Lawrence management
Have a good driving record
Have a personal vehicle
The ideal candidate will also:
Be motivated to succeed
Have existing relationships with wholesale accounts and/or partners
Have 2 years of experience in a brewery or distributor
This position reports directly to the Divisional Sales Manager while maintaining an open working relationship with all levels of the CLBC team.
Salary range of $65,000 to $75,000; commensurate with experience.
