Home improvement loans available from a social enterprise funded by the city council

Help is at hand for homeowners looking to finance home improvements from council-funded social enterprise lender, Lendology.

Lendology has worked in partnership with Exeter City Council to provide affordable loans to homeowners across the city since 2008.

During this period, over £ 1million was loaned to homeowners across town to fund repairs, upgrades, adaptations and energy efficiency measures.

Loan council funds secure a pot of recycling capital, and to date almost £ 700,000 has been repaid by Exeter owners, which can be loaned out again.

From replacement heating and completely new roofs, to moisture repairs and structural repairs, to updating kitchens and bathrooms or obsolete electrical wiring or plumbing, the eligible jobs are varied. .

Lendology is also now helping homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their homes, supporting the Council’s goals of creating a net zero carbon city.

Houses can influence many different aspects of people’s lives, including their health and well-being. By encouraging home improvements, repairs and adaptations, everyone has access to a safe, warm and dry home.
