SBI and PHDCCI launch industry outreach program to assist SMEs affected by COVID-19 pandemic in Haryana

The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), in association with the country’s largest lender, the State Bank of India (SBI), has launched an industry outreach program to help small and micro businesses (SMEs) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in Haryana.

The two organizations conducted an industry outreach program called ‘SBI-PHDCCI Industry Roundtable Meet’ in Karnal, Haryana on February 17 to bring together key industry players and exporters from Haryana on a plat -common business shape and highlight their challenges, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry said in a statement Friday.

“In the post-pandemic era, this was one of the first interventions to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and exporters in Haryana. The meeting’s deliberations are expected to help state industrial units directly explore financing and other banking services. available with SBI in Haryana,” said PHDCCI. Speaking at the event, Anukool Bhatnagar, Chief Managing Director of State Bank of India (SBI), Chandigarh Local Headquarters and Nepal Office, said that SBI is ready to meet the financing needs of SMEs of Haryana.

To overcome the challenges of falling demand and rising cost of doing business, Bhatnagar suggested the industry should adapt to the new normal and brave it through entrepreneurial zeal. Atul K Thakur, Joint Secretary, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, State Development Council and Nodal Coordinator, India-Nepal Centre, said that PHDCCI has taken several proactive measures to support SMEs in the Haryana.
