Subsidized investment loans compared to providers
A whole range of government and semi-governmental institutions make it relatively easy for companies to get a cheap investment loan. As a rule, not only are the interest rates on loans from normal commercial banks reduced, the conditions are also very advantageous for the borrower.

In addition to a long fixed interest rate, such investment loans can be repaid early free of charge, for example. In order to be able to support as many companies as possible in this way, the criteria for such investment loans are generally very broad. Regardless of whether they come from the state credit institution for reconstruction or from investment banks in the individual federal states, it is worthwhile for entrepreneurs looking for an investment loan to get a comprehensive overview of such loans. In addition to general investment loans, which are issued when the company is expanded, there are also loans that can be used in special cases. For example, if a company wants to invest in the energy-efficient refurbishment of production facilities or in particularly energy-efficient vehicles in order to permanently reduce running costs, this will help to secure jobs in the long term.
Initially, relatively high costs have to be borne for this, but they will pay off over a period of time. In order to protect the company’s liquidity, there are special investment credits for such projects, which are awarded under the generic term of energy efficiency. Since an investment loan from a specialized development bank has cheaper interest rates than a comparable loan from its own bank, the threshold for the entrepreneur is not quite as big. The return generated by the investment does not have to be quite as high in order to be able to pay interest and principal regularly. Conversely, the decision for a subsidized investment loan is much easier, since repayment is still possible even in economically difficult times.
Investment loan from bank
The prerequisite for the allocation of an investment loan from a development bank is usually the examination of the loan application by the house bank or another credit institution. In order to keep the administrative burden as low as possible, promotional banks normally do not do this themselves. In some cases, investment loans are also granted in cooperation with the respective bank; in this case, part of the loan comes from the bank and part from the funding institution. In such a case, the fees for processing the investment loan must of course still be paid, the amount depends, among other things, on the complexity of the respective project.
